How should I start in getting involved with politics in my city?

Question by The Chief: How should I start in getting involved with politics in my city?

I live in Chicago unfortunately and day after day this city just goes further down the toilet. I honestly don't think the people who run this city deserve there jobs and it seems like the only way to change that would be to get them out of office. What should be my first step in getting actively involved in my city's politics.

I would leave Chicago and go somewhere else to be honest. You don't want to get your start in a cesspool unless you plan on becoming part of it.
