Are there any shoes that are good for hiking and horseback riding?

I am looking in purchasing a good pair of shoes for horseback riding and would like to make them work as hiking shoes as well. I understand the basic need for a good riding shoe, but is there a shoe/ boot that will work for both?

I don't see why any hiking boots wouldn't work for riding horses. Good closed toe and quality. I have a pair of Merrels that I use for both. Comfy too.
