High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Roman Catholic Church in Cambodia is part of the worldwide Roman Catholic Church, under the spiritual leadership of the Pope and curia in Rome. There are around 20,000 Catholics in Cambodia which represents only 0.15% of the total population. There are no dioceses, but there are three territorial jurisdictions - one Apostolic Vicariate and two Apostolic Prefectures. An apostolic prefect (or prefect apostolic) is a priest who heads what is known as an apostolic prefecture, a missionary area where the Catholic Church is not yet sufficiently developed to have it made a diocese.
